What is Happening in Indonesia: 10 Asia + Star, Indonesia Edition

Last month when I was doing my favorite activity on weekend which is going to book store to book store, I was kind of surprised with what I saw. There’s a big billboard with one of JYJ members’ face on it looking sharp at the main entrance of one of the book stores. My fangirl’s alarm pinged. I went closer to take a look. There're piles and piles copy of magazines with pink 10 Asia + Star on their cover. Apparently 10 Asia + Star magazine, 1st Indonesia edition had been born.

My 1st encounter with 10 Asia was when I started to revitalize this blog after very long hiatus due my study last year. Before that I only saw “10 Asia” stamped on pictures of Korean celebrities here and there around the web. I really like their taken on K indie bands with Indie 10 Series. Like these: Female singer of Yozoh, Neon Bunny, Day Break, No Reply, The Knoxx, Winterplay.

Thanks to all translators of World Wide Web (this, this, this, this, this and of course Allkpop are where I like to get my K indie music news in English) who have done tremendous jobs, we got the chance to read some of Korean written articles about K indie music. Aside from that, there’re articles those were written in English at the time they were published by 10 Asia (Go to its Korean Wave section). It is kinda tricky to find information, a good reading article moreover, about K indie music scene or anything outside K pop or K drama as a part of K entertainment for us, whose Korean language ability is around limited to none. So when there’s a source that minds to provide us the information, ready available in English, we really appreciate it.

Despite 10 Asia magazine be one of my reliable sources for news outside K pop or K drama, it seems Indonesia edition of 10 Asia magazine, projects more to K pop idol industry and K drama news for their content. It will be not fair to judge by only its 1st edition. But with taking the consideration that Indonesia market in general tends toward that projection, I may presume that it looks like where it is going to be. If I were allowed to make superficial generalization about K pop fandom in Indonesia, they are clueless about anything else beside K pop, which means literally K idol here, and K drama. So it is understandable if that is the direction they are going to take.

So this is just another foot print of Hallyu Wave in Indonesia, else are K pop idol music that has penetrated Indonesia music market and K dramas that have been flooding Indonesia TV stations’ air time. Just like 1st Indonesia edition, 10 Asia + Star magazine’s editorial said: “ The hype of K pop, K drama, Korean Wave in Indonesia, at the end of 2011 has intrigued us into participating the enrapture of this euphoria. A lot of information is spreading over internet also real world, nevertheless there’s only limited amount that have been presented formally.”

But there’s one thing that has been tickling my mind: How popular 10 Asia + Star magazine among K pop fandom in Indonesia as its target market? Is it popular enough that it can be considered as one highly valuable magazine brand like other franchise magazine brands eg Bazaar, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Nylon, etc those have already scattered in Indonesia, leaving our own magazines little room to breathe? It makes no sense to me if a franchise magazine has to build up its brand from the very bottom.

I, myself, cannot get rid the idea that K pop fever in Indonesia is only a fad, easy come, easy go.Though this statement has yet to be proved. So looking at the trajectory this magazine is going to take, K pop industry as their main covering, I can’t help but think: How long it is going to last? And there’s one more thing that I think can be happening to put another hindrance. The target market can be smaller than what’s expected that it is not equal with the level of popularity of K pop in Indonesia right now. When we talk about K pop lest we not to forget its infamously dedicated notorious fans. Yes they are probably too notorious that it will resolve the fact how high price this magazine is (around $ 6, compared to Indonesia NGM ±$ 5, Nylon ± $4, Elle ± $3) for its mostly teenage market. But they are also dedicated enough that they don’t mind to search, dig, translate, and spread any news from their beloved oppas and unnis at any source they can find to feed the endless fandom’s demand. This fact results on any news K pop idol related is fast-paced and easily out-dated information, moreover for a magazine that’s publishes once in a month and for an interview-based article. Who want to buy too-pricey-to-your-pocket magazine every month if the information in it can be archived freely on line? For myself, I rather buy a book which will never be out-dated and upgrade my internet bandwidth for unlimited source of fresh and up-to-date news.

Is it the end? Kh. No, it is not. :) This magazine really leaves me a lot of stuff to talk about. Reading 10 Asia + Star, 1st Indonesia edition, I kept stopping here and there: Is there something wrong with the translation??

Hallyu Wave or the flood of Korean culture entering Indonesia just happens recently. There’s not many Indonesia text that is translated directly from Korean. At least from my own side, I have never read one. It has become my routine in the last few years to check Korean entertainment news on internet every day, any day of the week, but I cannot remember I ever follow Indonesia written site for feeding my obsession. The reason is simple first: I cannot stand the thought there’s something limits my curiosity. If I can chop all the walls off and get my curiosity fix, I do whatever I can. Korean news site written in Indonesia is still limited and if there’s one, it is like almost every news on it I have already read it on English written sites I follow. Second: The thought of I get a second hand translation is boggled my mind like no other. There’s always something lost in translation no matter how small it is. People can try to minimize it but it is inevitable. So what’s going on is gonna be Korean -> English -> Bahasa Indonesia. Gah. How many things that will be lost in process? Can you imagine that?

That’s from Korean, it is different with English to Indonesian translation. I have plenty experiences from English to Bahasa Indonesia translation. I had become a translator, myself, while I was in university. And as Indonesian, I’m pretty much aware that Indonesia written source is limited almost in any field. So one must make his/her English good or he/she will be stuck with very limited source of information. I don’t know about other, but it can drive me nuts from time to time.

There’re times I can’t find the original English source, so whether I want it or not, I have to be content with anything that I have in my hand. This really sharpens my skill ( kh :D ) to recognize whether a text is a translation or an originally written in Bahasa Indonesia text. I can smell it from miles away. No matter how many Indonesia slang words people try to put in their translation, it cannot mask that it is a translation. It is just how the punctuation being places, the pattern of the sentence, the particles being used, or even the straightforwardness of the way information given. The sound in my head is different when I read an originally Indonesia written text, a translation, moreover an English text. It is less recognizable if the text is a fact-based text, but if it is a fiction, the difference is quite striking.

In fact I’m quite a fan of this English translation in Indonesia writing style. So one day, I made an experiment. I tried to invent a fiction story and try to write it with the style I mention above. How that happened I didn’t know myself. I couldn’t reach the level of “straightforwardness” as I found in an English translation. Or how to make it not sound “stiff” but still make it “English word free”? I simply just could not. I can only presume what culture we have been brought up that affects out personality will reflect in our language, written or spoken. That the best conclusion I can offer.

So back to 10 Asia + Star. When I was reading it, I kept bouncing to stop to gaze over some, if not many, sentences. I could understand, or guess for exact, what the sentence wants to tell me. But my head couldn’t stop asking: should not this phrase better being put in the end of sentence? Or should this word come first before this word? Or should this word being replaced with this word so the sentence sounds better? But it is not like the text from English that I can guess what the English word is before it got translated. It is Korean language we talk about. I could not guess, I could only get furrow between my brows. Reading it is like hearing a singer sings off key. I kept read and re-read just to find the best intonation I suppose to read the sentence in to give me best understanding.

It seemed like the translators were too afraid to be too deviated from the material given to them really wants to say, and then they chose to translate it word by word. So weird. By doing so, it made them looked like didn’t understand what the article as whole wants to deliver. This is one thing about of translating that at one point he/she has to have the overall comprehension of the material being translated to produce good translation. Seriously, based on the people who have been interviewed by this magazine, I know 10 Asia + Star is a big magazine back there, in South Korea, so I expect more than this less-than-decent translation. The translation quality just doesn’t match up. I'm not here to say this as a reader who sits down comparing two edition of magazine, Korean and Indonesia edition, but purely as Indonesian reader who read Indonesia edition.

There’s small inner voice of mine telling me what if, it is just the matter of language. I know there’s a lot Korean words those don’t have a compatible Indonesia word. What if this awkward sounding in my head Korean translation sentence couldn’t be made otherwise, better? I was a newbie too in this Korean translation thing, so I keep wondering the best explanation behind this. Recently I had followed a Korean class discuss about the progress of Korean poem. The lecture, itself, was given in Korean, but there was a translator accompanied by. He was a Korean and he was good. Though he spoke in highly accented Indonesian, I could understand easily what he was talking about. Because bahasa Indonesia is not about the accent since every ethnic groups in Indonesia have their own way of speaking bahasa Indonesia. If the person understands the language well, gone all the accent and he/she will sound just fine, once I relay what I heard in my head. So I was convinced, it was not because the matter of language. To be more convinced, I bought the second Indonesia edition of 10 Asia + Star. Thankfully, it came off better. *Sigh*

That first edition was a messy and horrible work of translator and editor that found its way up to be printed and published. Good luck with the new magazine! :D

What's Happening in Indonesia: Xia Junsu's 1st Asia Tour Concert, Jakarta, June 16, 2012 (Live Raving)

The news about Xia Junsu would start his 1st Asia Tour Concert and have Indonesia as one of the stops was reached my ears first before I had listened to his 1st full length solo album. At that time attending his concert was in my list of considerated concerts. I like Get Out, but In Heaven album is just so so, and Ayy Girl is..... *rolling eyes*, not to forget its crapcastic MV. But just try to ask people around about JYJ/DBSK members as a performer, their answer will be range from good to great performer. For that last thing only, enough to include Junsu’s concert into the list.

Then I got the chance to listen the whole Tarantallegra, Xia Junsu’s first solo album, and suddenly the concert was no longer in the list. I’m nearly broke right now from how many concerts I have attended in this year. And to be honest Tarantalegra album is mediocre at best. It is not because the auto tune and “why up beat songs, they waste Junsu’s voice” is not even in consideration, dude listen first before make comment. Tarantalegra album is consisted More ballad songs than upbeat songs. No voice is being wasted here. And agree JYJ are better in producing ballad than producing up beat full of auto tune songs. Simply said I’m not a fan of their upbeat songs. It is just something lack in that album. I tried to give it more listen as preparation to go to concert, I just couldn’t bring myself. Boohwal’s Purple Wave is on repeat in my current playlist. See there must be some reasons for that right? More over Junsu’s voice is good, no doubt about it. But my favorite voice among JYJ (DBSK)  member belongs to Micky. Don’t ask why :D That raspy voice comes from his throat just sexy. Rawr.  So I dropped the concert from my list.

Like out from no K pop universe, came Tarantallegra MV. Wow. I LIKE that MV. Not to put less respect to people who have so much brevity to choose to be open about they being gay, that MV will shut up any comment about a boy with guyliner, pink lips, and skinny jeans is a gay if that ever becomes a reason for someone avoiding certain kind of music. Man find better reason, be open minded won’t hurt. That is what I called androgyny, artistically androgyny. Androgyny boys earn a soft spot in me, Asian to the core, for always giving away some mysterious vibe. I like K pop for its Korean-ness, I will never require my pretty boys to be more “western” just to suit anybody’s music taste. Use guyliner as they like, wear skinny jeans as they want, appear with colorful outfit like a rainbow when they feel like to, I still like them as ever.  No need to be drastically changed, and try to be more “manly”, because I believe many fans out there are just like me, fall in love with the boy with guyliner. Just do a bit of tweak, give these boys more personality and ehm originality, while keep them “flowery”. It will give them better chance to win “western” audience that those K idol companies dream about. Tarantallegra MV has just served Junsu its best showing everything the best from him. The dance is so slick. That MV were all things behind, here I wrote about the awesomeness of Xia Junsu  1st solo concert in Indonesia is. Because without it, I would not be able to, since I probably didn’t go to the concert. Never under estimate the power of MV *look to one of K pop idol companies*. I was hooked by Tarantalegra MV, I went to the concert, and viola I knew I would miss a big thing if I ever missed it. Saved by the MV!

The concert

The concert was held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Jitec Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta. With capacity around 6500 people (?), it was filled around 90-95% from its capacity based on my calculation. It is such a loss for fans who didn’t get to watch the concert. The audience, itself, was more homogeneous than the last Super Junior concert that I felt like a family outing. The audience was mostly teenage girls, as expected. As far as I could see, a group of audience consists of dad, mom, and toddlers had yet to be seen.

The concert was schedule starting on 19.00 Indonesia western times. I would let pass a concert that started 10-15 minutes late. I would try to tolerate a concert that started 30 minutes late. But if a concert that was late almost 2 hours from schedule: Junsu-yah did you leave your watch in Korea and didn’t know whether Jakarta is 2 hours ahead or 2 hours behind from Seoul? *nagging* At 20:40 the concert finally kicked out. Junsu was suddenly there on stage after the light went off for seconds. Kh lack of grand entrance effect.

The concert was warming up on me. It began with Junsu’s songs those are more popular like Intoxication. Yes “Taste and Touch me, baby. Let me feel your naughtiness” :D Rather than grouping the songs to ballad and up tempo song. He went back and forth from ballad and up tempo songs. It worked well honestly. But then it didn’t matter anymore, I sang along when the ballad songs played and danced, jumped up and down following the upbeat tempo.

Then it came about the interactive part of the concert. Accompanied by interpreter, Junsu had initiative to grant three requests from audience. At first the audience shouted off “JYJ, JYJ, JYJ, JYJ”. Junsu looked like a bit annoyed. Tee hee whatelsedoowedoo. JYJ still owe us a concert in Jakarta that failed to realize last year. I think his reaction is because he wants to be well-established solo artist in future, recedes slowly from his image as a member of an idol group, since it will give him more prolong career. Hey, who prints: “Xia Junsu, member of JYJ” on his 1st solo concert ticket and on a huge billboard advertising his concert.  Just sayin’.

So the request were cut from three to two. Aish. First one was Junsu did a cutesy expression. Boy, that was just strike potent! After watching him that sang Intoxication trying to seduce me, his cutesy expression followed by innocent shy look, my mind couldn’t comprehend. Next was second request, I didn’t know from which part of audience the request came from. For awhile the interpreter leaning his head toward Junsu, whispering. Junsu seemed not hearing clearly what the interpreter was saying, and he went saying: “Sex dance??” wrinkled on his forehead. LMAO, I was laughing, rocking my belly. So he showed us the Tarantallegra dance. Kh. But but but I swear I clearly heard it was SEX dance that you said, not sexY dance. *disappointed look* :D

Next part was he played out songs from his musical Elizabeth and Mozart. Wow. If I visit Korea someday beside going to Hongdae for watching indie bands do their gig, the next thing I want to do is…. Stalking SM dormitory? Hell no. Staying all day long on Music Bank studio and wishing a chance to meet idol boys in and out the building? Just no. Going to a musical? Yes, yes, yes! Though it gives me shiver just imagining the ticket price. I might not understand the lyric, but Junsu’s voice was just overflowing with emotion. That was enough for me to send him my loudest applause. Great performer he is. Who need lyric translation showed on big background screen if that only make sad ballad song sounds silly? When his sincere emotion wrapped voice alone is enough.

The concert was near its end. I thought he would close his concert with the title song from his album, Tarantallegra but he didn’t. He chose to send us off with ehmm ehmm some ballad songs. I recognized the melody, in fact I sang along with him. I didn’t know the titles. Sorry the album was new and like I said before I didn’t feel the urge to listen to it over and over again even when the concert date was approaching.  But don’t worry he is a good singer, the emotion in his voice was palpable. I couldn’t help feel sad along with him. Boo why just an hour and a half, it was not enough. The energy transfer of the concert was good at the end, instead of being tired after all the jumping, dancing, and shouting , I felt more alert and full of energy like somebody had been charging me with more power. So there I was with adrenaline surge in my head shouting “encore, tto hanbeonman, encore, tto hanbeonman, encore, hanbeonman, chincarooo”, jumping, and waving my red light stick. He he he. Dorawa yeppeun neol….Gomawoyo, gomapseumida nan *standing ovation*

The conclusion

Goodness. I really enjoyed the concert. I was so carried that I lost count how many songs he has been singing. He sang all songs from his solo album (10 songs), he sang songs from his musicals (around 3-4 songs? The interlude between the songs were not too clear, and I haven’t heard the song before), he sang one SKKS OST (Too Love), he sang one Scent of Woman OST (You’re So Beautiful), he sang Mission and Fallen Leaves from In Heaven album. So it was around 17 songs less or more (?). There was a dancing performance from Junsu back up dancers with Be My Girl song. Ahh those mob moves! I wish he did some modification to some of the songs so it will be felt more live, though not like it has not already been.

The venue might be smaller, the stage might be less sophisticated, definitely less crowd, and of course less crazy fans (Elf is just sheer CRAZY period), and it started almost two hours late from the schedule, but I felt way more satisfaction from this concert compared to the last idol concert I have attended.  Hah you know what concert I’ve been talking about. It was just felt more “live”. I never thought I would ever feel this satisfied toward an Idol concerts for the lack of their live-ness. Junsu proved me wrong. When the live version of the song is felt much more fun than their studio version, you know you have a great performer. When you can hear your artist’ breath in between the lines during concert, you know the concert you attend is worth a price.

And I more and more don’t understand with all blocking actions toward JYJ members activities. It looks way more irrational now. I mean speaking about authorized parties who have proved themselves that they can do such actions, if they want to. JYJ boys are good performer and artist since they make their own music. But they just waste them away instead of supporting them. If they want to make K idol music, the icon of K pop music, more appealing to people whose music tendency leaning away from idol’s music, they at least can start looking up to JYJ model, despite shut it off. I can say that because Junsu ‘s concert can be entertaining even if the audience is not under K pop fandom. They should see the bigger goal ahead: “Spreading Hallyu Wave” to larger population. Tsk.  Not doing petty actions blocking some idol boys’ activities those only puts hinderer to the achievement of a bigger goal. Am I right? And you, JYJ blockers, just stop your childish acts, grow up and grow some balls.

Oh! Set me free set me free free (X2) Bye!
Oh! Set me free Set me free free Bye!

PS:

Jeez Indonesia fans can you be cleaner? Your habit throwing garbage everywhere as you like irks me so much. Concert venue ain’t junk yard, put some shame on yourself.

And how could you still take pictures and videos when Junsu gave you “Fever”, sent you under “Taratallegra” and took your “Breath” away? Didn’t you feel intoxicated? I would rather dance my butt off. Dolpin Dance!

EO thanks for let us bring our cameras inside the concert hall, but then you did swapping us up. Boo I take my thank back :P

JYJ come to Indonesia!! It will be amazing to see three of you singing in front of my eyes. Though be together five will be more mind blowing but if that means put you three back into the “box”, I oppose “keep the faith”.

J Rabbit (제이레빗): 우리 했던 이야기 & Happy Things (Lyrics, Romanization, Translation)

Tada oremanna :D Yeesh Ojakgyo Brothers had been successfully sucked the time of me for a week. Since I’m the kind of person who easily neglect anything else while I got my attention in full gear in one thing, I could only post now =_=. So here I’m back again blogging away ^^

제이레빗: 우리 했던 이야기
J Rabbit: Our Story
[Lyrics, Roamnization, Translation]

우리했던 이야기 바라만 봐도 좋은
Urihaetdeon iyagi baraman bwado joun
Oversaw our story looking good
시절 아름다운 기억
Geu sijeol areumdaun kiok
That time is a beautiful memory
우리했던 약속들 지키진 못했어도
Urihaetdeon yaksokdeul jikhijin mothaesseodo
Promises those we made, we couldn’t keep
마냥 행복했던 시간
Manyang haengbokhaetdeon sigan
Time that happiness is felt endlessly

사랑하는데.. 그런데 나만 힘이 드냔 말야
Saranghaneunde... geureonde whae naman himi deunyan marya
Love… but why my only strength ceases to make me realize?
이럴 어떻해야 ?
Ireolttaen eotteokhaeya hae?
Remember, what should I do?
(그래서 행복하니) No..
(Geuraeseo haengbokhani) No..
(So feeling happy) No...

지난 우리 이야기
Jinan nal uri iyagi
Our story of yesterday
가슴 구석에 새겨진 목소리
Gaseuman guseoke saegyeojin ne moksori
In the corner of my heart, your voice carved in
이제 이상 들리지 않아
Ije deo isang deulliji ana
Now, I can’t hear anymore
그저 한숨 섞인 노래에 너를 보내네
Geujeo hansum seokkkin nae norae-e neoreul bonaene
So sigh in between my song I send it to you

우리했던 이야기 눈빛만 봐도
Urihaetdeon iyagi nun bitman bwado
Our story looks shining underneath the light
뭐든 있다고
Mwodeun da al su itdago
All things that I said
힘이 든단 너의 이제 조금 이해할 것도 같은데
Himi deundan neo-e mal ije jogeum ihaehal geotdo gatheunde
Your word draining the strength, now looks like I understand that a little bit
함께한 시간 이제 어떻게 혼자 버티란 말야
Hamkkehan sigan ije eotteoke honja beothiran marya
Time being together, now alone what am I supposed to do to survive?
이럴 어떻해야 ? (그래서 행복하니) No..
Ireolttaen eotteohaeya hae? (Geuraeseo hangbokhani) No..
Remember, what should I do? (So feeling happy) No..

지난 우리 이야기
Jinan nal uri iyagi
Our story of yesterday
가슴 구석에 새겨진 목소리
Gaseuman guseoke sae gyeojin ne moksori
In the corner of my heart, your voice carved in
이제 이상 들리지 않아
Ije deo isang deulliji ana
Now, I can’t hear anymore
그저 한숨 섞인 노래에 너를 보내네
Geujeo hansum seokkkin nae norae-e neoreul bonaene
So sigh in between my song i send it to you

I lub lub lub this album. At first listening, I thought I liked It’s Spring more. As time goes by and I give more listen, I realize the true power of J Rabbit’s latest album, Looking Around (heh). The album I slowly, but sure, sinks in me and burrows its way deep into my heart. I’m having a hard time picking my favorite songs from. Cause I love ‘em all. That’s one reason. The other reason is I think this album was intact. What I mean is that the whole album projecting into one mood. You know there’s an album that contains varied songs, so that you just can’t listen to the whole album while you have certain kind of mood of the day.

This album is whimsical. It is like somebody invites me to come and play into the imaginative fairy land and forget the bad things that happens IRL. It is like song playing as Dad reading for us our bed-time stories. It was weird that at this one day of mine, I felt so unhappy, I almost cried, and then I watched Happy Things video, suddenly I just sang along and giggled together with them. Those simple videos of theirs are addicting for sure. I think it is Hyesun’s voice, or the lyrics, or the sound of piano, or the way they performs, or perhaps every drop of passion showed is counted.

Yes, I give this album more love then J I listen to it in the morning, I listen to it in the night, I listen to it when I’m happy, I listen to it when I'm sad and I want to take a break from un-requited, painful and hurt love song that runs rampant in K pop and anywhere else in the world :P I may just sit, think, reflect what have been going on in my life. :) Be grateful. Be happy.

제이레빗: Happy Things
[Lyrics, Romanization, Translation]

둥근 해가 뜨면 제일 먼저
Dunggeun haega tteumyeon jeil meonjeo
The first thing, when the rounded sun overhead
기분 좋은 상상을 하지
Gibun joun sangsangeul haji
Imagining the happy feeling
하나 ! 자리에 일어나
Hana dul set! Jarie ireona
One, two, three! Get up from your place
하마처럼 입을 하품을 크게 하고
Hamacheoreom ibeul jjak hapheumeul kheuge hago
Like a hippo mouth, suddenly make big yawn

눈을 크게 뜨고
Dununeul kheugetteugo
Open both eyes largely
번쩍 기지개를 한번 켜고
Beonjjeok gijigaereul hanbeon jjuk khyeogo
Start stretching for once, turn your body on
즐거운 상상을 맘껏 즐겨
Jeulgeoun sangsangeul mamkkeot jeulgyeo
Enjoy yourself with joyful imagination till your heart content,
잊지 말고Happy Happy Things
Ichii malgo Happy Happy Thing
Don’t forget happy happy things

상쾌한 바람이 부는 아침에
Sangghwaehan barami buneun achime
Fresh wind blows in the morning
한껏 여유 부릴
Hankkeot yeoyu buril ttae
When making use of my free time to the fullest
유난히 안색이 좋아 입어도
Yunani ansaegi joa mwol ibeodo
Good extraordinary look on my face
잘어울리고 예뻐 보일
Da jal eoulligo da yeppeo boil ttae
When everything is going well and looks beautiful
좋아하는 노랠 들으며 걸어갈
Joahaneun norael deureumyeo georeogal ttae
When taking a walk, listen to my favorite songs
시간 맞춰 버스를
Sigan matchwo beoseureul thal ttae
When on time to take a bus
유난히 사람이 많은 출근길
Yunani sarami maneun chulgeun gil
Meeting someone special on the way to work
앞에서 자리 났을
Ttak nae apheseo jari nasseul ttae
When it is just caught right in front of my seat

예상대로 일이 술술 풀려갈
Yesangdaero iri sulsul phullyeogal ttae
Work goes smoothly as expected at time I want to go
이제부터 뭐든 멋대로 먹을
Ijebutheo mwodeun nae meotdaero mam meogeul ttae
From now on, time for eating anything as I like
아주 맛있는걸 먹었을
Aju masineun geol meogeosseul ttae
Time for eating very delicious food
세상에나~! 힘도 줬는데 쾌변
Sesange na~ himdo an jwoneun de khwaebyeon
Heaven... Give me strength for not to change

! 보너스 휴가 떠날
O! Boneosu hyuga tteonal ttae
O! When vacation bonus is over
사랑하는 그대와 함께
Saranghaneun geudaewa hamkke
Love being together with you
모두 상상만 해도 정말 기분 좋아
Modu sangsangman haedo jeongmal gibun joa
Feeling really happy by just imagine it all
잊지 말고 Happy Happy Things
Ichi malgo happy Happy Things
Don’t forget happy happy things

오랜만에 친구들을 만났을
Oraenmane chingudeureul mannaseul ttae
When I met friends for a long time
괜히 기분이 좋아서 혼자
Gwhaeni gibuni joaseo honja mak chumjul ttae
When with no reason feeling happy just by dancing alone
아주 머리가 돌아갈
Aju meoriga jal doragal ttae
When good head very well returns
말도 안돼~! 공부 했는데 백점
Maldo andwhae~! Gongbu an haeneunde baekjeom
No way!! Didn’t study, score full marks!

! 누군가 보고 싶을
O! Nugunga bogo sipheul ttae
O! When I want to see someone
그대가 알아줄
Geudaega nae mam arajul ttae
When you recognize my heart
모두 상상만 해도 정말 기분 좋은
Modu sangsangman haedo jeongmal gibun joun
Feeling really happy by just imagining it all
Happy Happy Things

누구나 있는
Nuguna halsu ineun il
Anyone can do this
행복한 삶을 원한다면
Haengbokan salmeul wonan damyeon
If you wish a happy life
모두 상상만 해도 정말 기분 좋아
Modu sansangman haedo jeongmal gibun joa
Feeling really happy by just imagining it all
잊지 말고 Happy Happy Things
Ichi malgo Happy Happy Things
Don’t forget happy happy things
