The Awesomesauce of 10cm continues

Yes, the awesomesauce of 10cm continue. They did a new cover single 애상 Sorrow. The song is included in series of singles as to commemorate 21 years Yoon Il-sang's contribution in K pop world as a composer this January titled “I’m 21”. Rather than called it an conventional album, I would like to called it a series project, because from this January also, with 10cm and Paul Potts as start, there're more singles for us to be waited for, two singles for each every time. In talk, there will be 10 singles and two or three week interval between the releases. There're no list of artists who will be joining the project (yet?) so it will be kind of suprise, suprise. While a video of K.R.Y of Super Junior, IU, Infinite, G.Na, Brown Eyed Girls, Hyugak, No Brain, DJ Doc, Kim Bum-soo, named of a few, greeting Yoon Il-sang happy 21 Anniversary, has been floating around, still it is not clear which ones of them will follow 10cm and Paul Potts. If it is all of them, then the project is gonna be great.

애상 was sung formerly by Cool, K group from late '90s to early 2000. And Paul Potts' I'm Missing You has a Korean version  보고싶다 sung by Kim Bum-soo. As you know, this song is one of Stairway to Heaven OST back in 2003. And보고싶다has its own epicness, I can not listen to this song without I remember Kwon Sang-woo (Song-ju) plays grand piano out of no where but beach, Choi Ji-woo (Jung-su) peeps through a window of beach house, and Kim Tae-hae's (Yuri) evil eyes.  But the scenes were Song-ju and Jung-su, both child version and adult version, play ice skate in amusement park in Song-ju’s department store are the ones that steal the crown for the most memorable scene in Stairway to Heaven. So the MV is… Spot on! Though I do wish that instead of I watch someone playing ice skate in the first half of the MV, I want to watch 10cm’s performance which is always fun to watch. L

If you ask: "What the heck Paul Potts is doing there?!?" Well, he is not new in K pop world or K drama la la land for exact. He sang song, Passo Dopo PassoPasso Dopo Passo, that is my second favorite song after바람꽃 Wind Flower sung by Yesung of Super Junior/IU, in The Great Queen Seon Deok OST album. So rather than now, you should ask that question 3 years ago "what the heck he was doing there?!?" Though I don't surprise about his involvement in this project, yet I still don't know what was behind the winner of British Got Talent sang K Drama OST in 2009. But is there any need of specific reason for someone sings an OST?? Honestly I don't even know Paul Potts was the winner of British Got Talent back then. Oh well there's a law of nature K Pop or K drama universe, once you get in they won't let you out, they suck you in even deeper. Or probably it is just me.

I'm not quite familiar with Yoon Il-sang's works in K pop world. I just found out that he is one behind Brown Eyed Girls' Six Sense album. I like Brown Eye Girls' Cleansing Cream, but their Six Sense album is not in my top five favorite K pop album in 2011. Apparently he also had worked on many K dramas OSTs (Can't Lose, Tree of Heaven, Green Rose, Goong S). But the thing about drama OST is it will never get catch on me if it doesn't get a chance to be played during drama episodes or if it is played, it is only once or twice. You can not expect me to listen to every K drama OST whole album that I have watched, because I watch plenty.
