리싸 (leeSA) - Run Devil Run (cover) [lyric, romanization]

I’m not going to say that 리싸 leeSA’s cover version of Run Devil Run is better than SNSD’s Run Devil Run original version because every original version has its own merit. Let’s say there’s not gonna be a cover version if there’s no good original version. If I say I like leeSA’s cover version more, it’s merely because my own music preference, not because this version is better than that version.

This reminds me my first impression on leeSA that makes me keep her under my radar. My first impression on leeSA was when leeSA covered Ke$ha’s Tick Tock. I like Ke$ha’s Tick Tock. There was time when I played it on repeat. But man, leeSA’s Tik Tok cover is great.

It is gonna be lie if I said I know 소녀시대 SNSD or Girls’ Generation. I just know that SNSD is the female version of Super Junior, that it consists of 9 members, that the names of its nine members are Jessica, Sunny and ???, and its Mr. Taxi song reminds me Dr. Bombay’s Calcutta (Taxi, Taxi, Taxi) no matter how not similar they are except the Taxi part. It is gonna be hard if you want to listen to each member’s voice in group that has 9 members. There’s always a member that is better in singing, better in dancing, better in rapping, or say more popular, than the others. So each member has their part in the group.

But eh, how come I’m not impressed with leeSA. She sings a song that is originally sung by 9 people (wow, lol :P), she sings the chorus, the melody, the rap (I even like leeSA’s rap more than SNSD’s), and more over she plays the music. And here I give her my standing ovation (and cookies if she dances too, I kid :D)
